The workshop "Missing Links": feminism and globalised resistance took place on the 7th of November, far away from the busy Fortezza di Basso where the main activities of the ESF were based, and friendly hosted by the Arci of Isolotto. More or less 80 people joined us in discussing the proposed themes.

The discussion took place in three smaller groups: the relationship between the current social movements and the university in a context of the commercialisation and privatisation of higher education the need for feminism and the women's movement to take the struggles of the black, migrant and refugee movements, and the movements of gays, lesbians and transexuals more seriously and the missing links between feminism and the globalised resistance, from the starting point that orthodox anti-capitalism is NOT going to do away with sexist and racist power relations.
